Take care of your health.
Treat your body like it is a temple. You must consume excellent and healthy food and limit your consumption of sugary diet and sodas. If you take care of your health right now, you will not have to face health issues like diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart-related concerns later in your life.
One of the best things you can do is to learn how to cook meals for yourself. With a busy schedule, you can always opt for meal preps. But as time-consuming as it sounds, cooking is a very handful skill and therapeutic! Look for healthier food alternatives, get enough sleep, go for early morning walks, and hit the gym on weekends. A healthy diet will keep you in the right shape and make you feel better about yourself. Only time will tell you how right you were to take care of your health.
YOU come first.
Yes, YOU come first. Your mental health comes. Your goals come first, and you come first. Prioritize yourself. Everyone, including your friends and parents, will doubt you and will have opinions. But it would be best if you gained the courage to stand up for yourself, or otherwise, the cruelty will crush you. Stand for what you believe in.
Since everything is so happening, you might feel lost. You will need to give yourself some time to settle. Take a break and meditate. Learn to invest your energy in the right things so, by the end of the day, you have some strength for yourself, and you are not so overwhelmed.
Always keep moving forward and live day by day. Do not take things all at once. You are still young; you do not need to figure everything out right now. Take a few steps back to give yourself a break, then take steps forward. When you radiate positive energy, you attract only positive things!
Stay Away from Alcohol
Ah yes, the endless parties you will be attending in college, and with every small achievement, there will be multiple rounds of alcohol to celebrate! It is all fun until you wake up vomiting your guts out the following day, and you promise yourself you will not ever go near alcohol again. But we all know this cycle, you drink again, and you regret it, but you always have it again. Please make sure you seek help with alcohol addiction before it is too late.
Drinking not only affects your health (especially the liver) but also clouds your judgment. We have all heard about the confidence alcohol gives you. With that confidence, you might end you doing something that could cost you so much, or you might end up making a decision that you would regret all your life.
Of course, you can have celebratory drinks or just a couple of casual shots. But you need to be careful in terms of your consumption levels and the environment! Be firm and do not fall under peer pressure. Drink but safely!
Always Keep Learning.
If you assume that you know everything, you will never learn anything new. Always think you have more to learn no matter what. Do not push away any opportunities that lead you to learn something new, because you never know what you might learn and could be very useful for you in the future!
One of the best ways to learn is to say yes to things. Say yes to all the new possibilities that life throws at you. This will help you learn and help you grow, and build more connections with people who can be helpful. Ask questions, share experiences with people and listen to stories; you never know what hidden lesson each carries. Travel the world and explore new places. Be ready to take risks because it might only take you about 5 minutes to muster up the courage to do something risky, but the outcome stays with you forever and teaches you something big.
Other than that, take up a hobby or learn a skill. Do not waste your precious time by just letting the days pass by. You will regret the time you wasted once you go into the family-building phase of your life. Be as curious as a cat and get out of your comfort zone to explore all the great learning opportunities you miss. Challenge yourself to get out of your comfort zone whenever the opportunity comes by. And no one is going to tell you this, but It is okay to make mistakes. You learn a lot from your mistakes. Allow yourself to have some space to make mistakes so you keep learning.
Define success in your terms.
Everyone has a different definition of success. for some, it is having the title of CEO or a millionaire; for others, it is living a happy married life. Success has nothing to do with money. Being a CEO or having a high career is just glorified. What matters is achieving peace of mind and having a content life. Strive for more and keep learning. Create your definition of success.
What you need to do is: find a career that you enjoy or are passionate about. Doing work that you love doing will not feel like a chore for the rest of your life. And yes, money does not buy you happiness; doing what you love doing undoubtedly will. Even though it will require great determination and hard work, you will naturally succeed if you are doing something that you love.
If you are not happy with what you are doing, then try something completely different. You do not need to be afraid of failing. Instead, be afraid of not trying and living with regret. One handy tip is that you must learn a marketable skill. A skill that will help you gain a decent income.
And even if your definition of success is the title of CEO or a millionaire, then know that it is not impossible! You are surrounded by failures who will eventually turn out to be the CEOs and founders of something innovative! all the successful people failed multiple times. The only variation between them and you is that they kept trying, while you gave up after failing a few times.
