What is Clenbuterol?
Originally, Clenbuterol was a bronchodilator used to treat respiratory problems (such as asthma) in animals, especially horses. It works by relaxing the muscles around the airways, making it easier to breathe when there is an obstruction.
It is marketed worldwide under brands such as: Inchem
Clenbuterol is also found in many generic products which are readily available from pharmaceutical retailers. Clenbuterol is a beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist, which means it binds to beta receptors. These receptors act in parallel with the alpha receptors to regulate the process of lipolysis (fat release) simply put, beta receptors trigger lipolysis, and alpha receptors stop it.
By stimulating beta-2 receptors, Clenbuterol directly stimulates lipolysis and increases metabolism. It is by far one of the most powerful and effective fat-burning drugs of all time, although it was not originally intended to do anything when it comes to weight loss.
Why do people use Clenbuterol?
As a bronchodilator, clenbuterol is a prescription medicine available in several countries. But let’s be honest…This is not what interests you with clean. So let’s get straight to the point.
There are two main reasons people use Clenbuterol, especially in the bodybuilding arena.
- To get rid of excess body fat
- To improve sports performance
Because it is a potent (perhaps the most potent) agonist of beta-2 receptors, there is no doubt that Clenbuterol is a fat-burning supplement. When used in inhaled/vaporized form, studies suggest that it does not help improve performance effectively.
It even emerges from a study (on rodents) that long-term use of Clen may adversely affect physical abilities. Of course, it is possible that in the short term, Clenbuterol improves physical performance, but the effects seem to wear off with prolonged use. This is quite common with beta-2 receptor agonists which tend to have a desensitizing effect when used for too long. In other words, prolonged use leads to an increase in tolerance level.
That is why even in the bodybuilding community, it is not recommended to take clenbuterol for more than 4 to 8 weeks, and the fact that long-term abuse of Clen comes with a rather long list of ‘potential side effects and health problems.
Are the Benefits of Clenbuterol Real?
Clenbuterol allows the body to burn fat faster than it normally could. Perhaps most intriguing is that Clenbuterol is also renowned for its anabolic capacity. If this is true, it would mean that it is one of the few nonsteroidal products that burn fat and build muscle at the same time.
What is it in reality?
At the level of scientific studies, there is good data showing that Clen increases strength and lean (muscle) mass, but these effects on muscle growth have only been tested in subjects with a health problem characterized by muscle loss. In an experiment conducted on rats, clenbuterol also showed an increase in muscle protein synthesis stimulation of beta-adrenergic receptors appears to be responsible for the effects on performance and muscle development, according to researchers.
In other words:
Clenbuterol sale from reputable companies could improve performance to some extent, which could potentially promote muscle gain, so the idea that it can make you gain pounds of muscle (as we can read in some forum testimonials) while burning fat is a bit of a stretch. Clenbuterol definitely helps burn a lot of fat without necessarily causing muscle loss, but it’s not the same as anabolics which help build muscle mass.
