1 Rolep

A small, picturesque village of Virgins. It is hidden away in the middle of nature. It is located at 4000ft and only 20km from Rongli, East Sikkim. It is a sanctuary on the slopes of green Himalayan foothills, with views of the Rangpo Khola River Valley.

This is a paradise for birdwatchers and a place where you can find solace. You don’t need to bring an agenda. You can test your Angling skills by aiming for the trout in the Shokey Khola River. Enjoy brisk village walks. Visit the Buddha waterfalls, 45 feet high. Rejuvenate and enjoy the lush greenery. Tourists love hot stone baths. Chochen Lake and Dekeling Monastery are two of the most important places to visit.

Train: New Jalpaiguri is the nearest railway station. It is approximately 135 km away and will take between 4 and 4.5 hours to reach.

Car Distance: Rolep lies 687 km from Kolkata. Two halts will be required, one in Malda and another in Siliguri. On the third day, you will be able to proceed towards Rolep Village.

2 Singtam Village

The village of Singtam located 42 kilometers from Gangtok but 98 km from Siliguri is a traveler’s paradise. This village is close to the Temi Tea Garden and sure to catch the eye of any traveler. The village of Singtam, surrounded by forest on one side and farmlands on the other, is ideal for walking and enjoying traditional village life.

Many people come to this village to fish, as Khalej Khola can be found just 2km away. This village offers bird watching and fishing as well as walking. For forest treks, Singtam is a great choice. Trek to Maenam la or Tendong Hill. To reach Tendong Hill, which is an extinct volcano, walk through dense forests.

3 Gangtok Offbeat

Capital of Sikkim, a mountainous northern state. It was founded as a Buddhist pilgrimage spot, and the Enchey Monastery was built in 1840. After the British ruled ended, the city was made the capital of an independent monarchy. It joined India in 1975. It is located at an elevation of 5,410 feet (1650 meters). It is located in the eastern Himalayan range.

4 Ravangla

It is a small tourist settlement at 7000 feet in South Sikkim. It is located between Gangtok and Pelling and serves as the starting point for the trek to Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary (65 km from Gangtok). It is a picturesque town with clear views of Mt Kanchenjunga and Mt Pandim as well as Mt Siniolchu.
