Fruits like mango, bananas, pineapples, and oranges are rich in fiber and carbohydrates, and lots of good vitamins that keep inflammations in the body down and psoriasis in check. Some fruits you should not hesitate to have in your diet are:

  • Tart cherries – have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative properties that can reduce LDL cholesterol and systolic blood pressure.
  • Grapes and berries – You should eat lots of berries because they contain antioxidants known as anthocyanins that help to reduce inflammations. Resveratrol, a compound in grapes, has also been shown to reduce inflammations that can trigger psoriasis.

  • Processed food – Try avoiding processed and canned foods from the supermarket if you want to cut weight and reduce the risk of developing psoriasis. Most processed foods lose sugar and gluten, which is not good for those at risk of psoriasis.
